For the safety of children
Did you know?
In the last decade 5230

Storytelling
The main character has fallen asleep and has left the means of transport by which he goes to school, therefore, it is necessary for him to go to the next bus stop in order to reach his destination on time.
On the way, the character can collect different tokens. As he collects badges, the time will slow down and he will arrive faster at his destination.

Wireframe low fidelity
In this stage, the possible screens of the game and its navigation flow were proposed.

-
Warnings: loss of lives, elements that you have collected and their meaning, end of the game with a score, among others.
UI design
A flat design, with pastel colors, was used to provide greater contrast with the traffic regulations.
Because there are elements such as the map that help to locate the character in relation to its environment, a horizontal interface design was proposed to create an easy manipulation of the controls. .
Testing
Tests were carried out with the users where it was observed:
-
the visibility of the buttons
-
manipulation of the controls
-
map visibility
no images of the tests are shown for the protection of the participants since they are minors.
Conclusions
-
This project showed how gamification is an excellent tool to promote engagement with children.
-
A great interest of the users (children) in this tool was observed due to the interface as well as the implementation of gamification.
